 We (Renee and Steve) met fifteen years ago in “Corporate America” in Raleigh, NC. Renee was born and raised a Southerner. Steve had relocated to North Carolina…a “Southerner by choice”. Over several years of working together, we discovered we had a lot in common – backgrounds in accounting and finance, a passion for excellence, a deep appreciation for Southern culture, a dislike of coffee, a love of snacks, and a growing dislike for “Corporate America”. We often wondered how we could combine our mutual interests into a business that would allow us to do what we liked and like what we did. After some personal and professional soul-searching, Southern Serenade was born.
In creating Southern Serenade, the mission was quite clear…to share the best teas and snacks out there while blending them with a little Southern charm. Drawing on Renee’s Southern roots and Steve’s Southern discoveries, we have attempted to share some exquisite teas and snacks along with some memories and observations on Southern life that warm the heart and soul.
In order to find the right products that meet Southern Serenade customers’ high standards, we have traveled extensively throughout the South. Along the way, we have met many wonderful people who have been very helpful and encouraging, and we would like to thank them.
You can always find us around the office talking about the latest tea or goodies we have found. Southern Serenade is our passion and we hope that you and your friends will share it with us.
